How DualPlenum takes the lead

Plug & Play

With a single throttle plenum, the conversion to a Carraero DualPlenum couldn't be more straightforward. With complete factory ECU and MAF compatibility, you can be assured no tuning is required, making the installation fully-reversible. As a regular manifold vacuum is still present, the original brake booster and fuel tank vent valve setup can be used for normal emissions control. This also draws a crankcase vacuum for improved partial load efficiency and piston ring sealing, resulting in lower oil consumption.

Superior Flow Distribution

With our advanced DualPlenum Technology, airflow is distributed evenly to all cylinders, eliminating lean and hot cylinders. This has the advantages of safer and more accurate tuning and allowing the factory ECU to add additional fuel and ignition safely.

Straightforward Tuning

Tuning is easily achievable using the standard ECU as many parameters can remain the same when it comes to cold start, cranking fuel, cruise ignition, VVT and more. This massively simplifies tuning and, in most cases, means a standalone ECU isn't required, resulting in no loss of driveability.

Improved Laminar Flow

With runners that are uninterrupted by a throttle plate, the runner taper on the DualPlenum intake can be elongated and the lack of obstructions result in less turbulence and slow moving air.

Improved Power & Torque

With the elimination of lean and hot cylinders in the engine, the ECU can now add additional fuel to these, improving power on a per-cylinder basis. With the airflow and fuelling even across the board, the ECU can then begin to increase the ignition adance

Pronounced 'Big Cam'

With a shared plenum volume, big cams exhibit a more characteristic idle as the plenum volume experiences the reversion pulses from each cylinder, lowering the total intake vacuum.

Seamless Valvetronic Integration

With Valvetronic cars, DualPlenum offers the best of both worlds. Excellent throttle response and control with even cylinder distribution whilst still retaining failsafe control, idle performance and cold start running by retaining the standard throttle body.
