Our organic design language is central to the N52. The plenum is shaped by airflow, creating a unique form that maximises plenum volume while staying within the tight packaging constraints of the engine bay.
We use the same advanced automotive surfacing techniques employed by leading OEMs with Autodesk Alias, ensuring unrivalled, market leading quality. This is not only illustrated in how the part performs, but also in the clarity and crispness of the reflections. This approach is key to achieving our signature, organic aesthetic - directly shaped by airflow.

A Revolutionary Development in Plenum Design

Expanding Inlet Curve

The continually expanding inlet bend means completely laminar flow without any turbulence that is typically found in tight, straight walled elbow bends. This is because at high RPMs, airflow resists any change of direction due to its inertia at very high velocities.

Exceptional Flow Distribution

In a RWD application, almost all inlet designs result in reduced filling of the first few cylinders. This is because most designs don't allow for ample space to expand and turn the intake charge, which means excessive turbulence and poor distribution.

Bell Mouth Trumpets

Sculpted by air and verified on the dyno, our proprietary trumpet design allows for exceptional intake runner draw, drastically improving the volumetric efficiency of the engine. The raised design allows for the intake pulses to draw from behind the trumpet itself, further improving the strength of the intake charge into the combustion chamber.

Minimal Turbulence

This results in minimal loss of energy of the intake charge, drastically improving the effiency of the intake plenum and contribution to more power and torque, everywhere in the rev range.

Expansive Volume

CentroPlenum's expansive volume means greater area for the individual intake pulses to stabilise throughout the firing order, resulting in more available air for each cylinder.

Resonance Tuned Carbon

Induction Noise Like No Other

CentroPlenum has been specially tuned to resonate and amplify the natural induction frequencies that are waiting to be unlocked, giving a much-needed transformation to the N52 soundtrack.

A specially developed flange design between the runners and plenum body result in excellent strength, vacuum sealing, and rigidity using a high-temperature, two-part epoxy resin bond that is stronger than the carbon it joins.

This allows the main plenum body to be thinner in select areas, allowing CentroPlenum to further amplify and reverberate the induction growl into the cabin.

Road Trumpets - Stage 1

With a 6500-7000 RPM Peak Power band, the Road Trumpet set offers improved power and maximises low-down and mid range torque for a good compromise between everyday usability while still providing an even more thrilling top-end.

Sport Trumpets - Stage 2

Sport Trumpets offer an even more exciting driving experience for both fast-road and track use. With an RPM range of 7000 - 7500, this option is recommended for mapped cars, allowing more power to be produced with increased revs while still maintaining an exceptional torque spread for day-to-day driving duties.

Race Trumpets - Stage 3

As the shortest and most aggressive Trumpet set, Race offers improved velocity stack umbrella geometry for a peak power range of 7500 - 9000 RPM. This is only recommended for highly tuned engines using short-stroke or forged rods with cams to make the most of the increased revs.

Production Timeline

Your bespoke CentroPlenum starts by choosing your unique specification from thousands of different option combinations. Create the centre piece that your pride and joy has always been missing.

CNC Flange Machining

All flanges and fittings, whether titanium or anodised aluminium, are machined entirely in-house on our state-of-the-art, 5 Axis CNC using the finest German tooling.

CNC Fitting Turning

Fittings such as the brake booster and fuel vapour are machined directly on a CNC Lathe.

Vapour Bead Blasting

Using the finest ceramic media for an even, high satin sheen, removing all machine marks and deviations.

Colour Anodising

Chemical Type II aluminium anodising in a wide range of colours and contrasts is done entirely onsite with 800 Amp rectifiers and the highest quality organic dyes.

Trumpet Production

Your desired specification of trumpet length is additively produced using advanced carbon fibre 3D Printing. The plenum and trumpets are then adhered using an ultra-high-strength, two-part epoxy body adhesive.

Prepreg Carbon Lay-up

Production begins on the plenum body and runners, where Motorsport-grade pre-preg carbon fibre is hand laid in-house into our own billet aluminium moulds. This is then pressure-cured under extreme vacuum and temperature to form an extremely high-strength, lightweight structure.

Finishing

Once cured, the prepreg carbon is carefully hand-finished with hours of fine sanding. Once levelled, the surface is professionally spray-lacquered using several coats, and then satin or tinting pigment is applied to the final coat.
